Road Closed Due To Water Main Break In Upper Merion
The intersection of Crooked Lane and East Church Road in Upper Merion is completely closed in all directions due to a large water main break. Avoid the area if possible, Upper Merion police said on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The area is expected to be closed for at least 24 hours. The water company is on the scene.

A detour was put in place in Elizabethtown on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4, area police announced. Travelers were asked to avoid the area of South Market Street between Plum Street and College Avenue will be closed due to a traffic crash, the Elizabethtown Borough Police said in a release at 2:16 p.m. "Traffic is being detoured and motorists should expect delays," police said. A local government trash hauler was involved in a crash in which speeding was a factor, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Lanchei A. Williams, 45, of Philadelphia, crashed into a guardrail along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway in Tinicum Township, Delaware County at about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Williams suffered minor injuries and was taken to Taylor Hospital, police said. The body of a man found frozen in a Pennsylvania cave nearly 50 years ago has been identified, authorities said. The remains of Nicholas Paul Grubb, 27, of Fort Washington, Montgomery County, were discovered in January 1977 by two Appalachian Trail hikers who had ducked inside the cave to escape foul weather, according to the Berks County Coroner which announced the news last week.
