Scammers Threatening Victims With Arrest, Impersonating Officers In Yonkers Residents in Westchester are being warned about phone scammers impersonating police and tricking victims into handing over money. The warning was issued on Friday, Dec. 13 after the Yonkers Police Department received reports of scammers "spoofing" official department phone numbers, including the 1st Precinct at (914) 377-7477. Medical Care Building's Structural Stability Damaged In Somers Crash (Update) Crews had to shore a compromised part of a Northern Westchester medical care building after a vehicle crashed through its wall. The crash happened on Thursday, Dec. 12 around 2:45 p.m., when a car crashed into the Optum Medical Care building at 342 Route 202 in Somers, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. I-684 Reopens After 2 Tractor Trailers Jack-Knife, Leave Roadway In North Castle Part of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester has cleared following a crash involving two jack-knifed tractor-trailers. The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 16 at around 6 a.m., when two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-684 northbound in North Castle, according to New York State Police. The two vehicles jack-knifed and went off the roadway as a result of the wintery weather, police said. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The interstate is now open to traffic.

Wrong-Way Crash: 6 Injured On Hutchinson River Parkway In Rye Brook A serious crash caused by a wrong-way driver on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester left one person with life-threatening injuries, police said. 4-Car Crash Blocks Lane Of I-87 In Tarrytown, Causes Traffic A crash temporarily blocked a lane of Interstate 87 in Westchester and slowed northbound traffic. The incident happened on Friday, Dec. 13 around 3:40 p.m. on I-87 North just after Exit 8/8A in Tarrytown, according to New York State Police. Troopers said four vehicles were involved in the collision and one person suffered minor injuries. The crash blocked the northbound left lane until around 4:30 p.m., causing a five-mile backup on I-287 East that worsened Friday rush-hour traffic.

Cops ID NJ Pilot, NY Passenger Killed In I-684 Harrison Plane Crash Authorities have released the identities of both the pilot who survived and the passenger who died in a small plane crash that shut down Interstate 684 at the border of Fairfield, CT and Westchester, CT counties for hours.
