Bicyclist Struck In Lititz, Police Say A bicyclist was struck in Lititz on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the police announced at 2:56 p.m. that day.  The police were called to investigate the crash "involving a bicycle and a vehicle" around 11:21 a.m., as detailed in the release.  They learned a "bicyclist turned left at the intersection into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound resulting in a collision," police wrote in the release.  The crash happened at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue in Lititz Borough.  No injuries were reported. There was also no word of any charges filed.

Driver Plunges Into Schuylkill River In Philly A car drove into the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, authorities said. At about 3:40 a.m., an unusual incident occurred at 1273 Kelly Drive in the 22nd District. Police and fire department personnel responded to a 911 call reporting that a black four-door sedan had been seen driving into the river. The vehicle was located; however, at press time no driver or passenger had been located, police said. The investigation is active and ongoing.

Bucks County Man Faces Child Pornography Charges, Police Say A 27-year-old Warrington man was arrested on child pornography charges last week, according to township police.  Derrick A. Carthon is being held on a $250,000 bond, court records show.  Authorities received six cyber tips from X.com, formerly known as Twitter, related to accounts associated with Carthon, police said. They searched his home on July 23 and seized multiple electronic devices before taking him into custody, according to officials.  Carthon has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug 12.
