Lititz Man Wanted For 'Threat of Mass Violence' Killed Fleeing From Police
The man who died in a crash after fleeing from the police has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office and as detailed in a release by the New Holland Police. David Andrew Pacoe, 59, of Lititz, was driving dark colored Audi sedan at a high rate of speed when he slammed into a tractor-trailer at the intersection of North Railroad Avenue and Gristmill Road in Earl Township around 1:13 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, according to the releases. 2 Multi-Vehicle Crashes Halt Traffic On Rt 283 In Lancaster County: PennDOT
Two multiple-vehicle crashes have slowed traffic to a crawl on Route 283 West in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Tuesday evening, Sept. 10. The first crash happened on PA Rt 283 West near mile marker 21 at the Mount Joy Exit in Rapho Township around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, Schreffler detailed and 511PA confirmed. Fire Prompts Evacuation At Central PA Pizza Hut: Authorities
A fire led officials to evacuate a Pizza Hut in Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3. The fire broke out at the Pizza Hut located at 320 North Reading Road near the intersection when Dutchland Avenue in Ephrata at 12:05 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing. North Reading Road has been closed as crews work to knock down the blaze. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner
The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30. John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner. The strike happened around 4:10 a.m. and Zimmerman was pronounced dead at 4:54 a.m., as dispatchers said and as noted in the coroner's release. A historical one-school house caught fire on Friday night, Aug. 2, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The call to 911 about the fire at the Bunker Hill School/Strasburg Township Municipal Building came into LCWC at 7:35 p.m., dispatchers told Daily Voice.
