Stacks of car parts being shipped to the Dominican Republic from a Chop Shop has lead to six arrest, the Buck County District Attorney's Office announced on Monday, Oct. 7. A Pennsylvania State Police investigation lead to the dismantling of a Milford Township chop shop run out of a garage located at 2150 Rosedale Road, as detailed in the release. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen parts were sold and shipped to the Dominican Republic from the shop, according to the release. Carjacker Dressed As Cop To Steal Keys From Dealership In PA: Police
A police impersonator swiped a set of car keys from an automotive dealer then returned later to steal the vehicle, according to authorities. Scranton police said Ernest J. Morris is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Morris, 47, walked into the dealership wearing "law enforcement attire" on June 18, investigators said. He displayed a badge and a "full police equipment belt" while speaking with employees, and made off with the keys to a 2021 Honda Civic, according to authorities. Two Allentown, PA residents were arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle from 7-Eleven and leading police on a pursuit in Morris County, NJ on Friday, June 7, authorities said. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a stolen vehicle from the convenience store at 45 W. Main St. in Denville, Denville police said. A Louisiana homicide suspect was arrested in Pennsylvania by police investigating a pair of crashes involving stolen vehicles and thefts from a car dealership. Thief Steals Minivan With 11-Year-Old Girl Inside In Philadelphia, Police Say
An 11-year-old girl was inside of her family minivan when a car thief stole it in Philadelphia, police said. A 24-year-old man took the blue Honda Odyssey with the girl inside at 2600 N 16th St., around 1:35 p.m. Saturday, June 1, police said. The girl and the vehicle were safely recovered at 3200 Randolph Street. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. There were no injuries to the girl.
