DNA testing will be required to identify a woman who died in a fire at a rowhome built over 124 years ago, authorities explained on Wednesday, Sept. 17 and public records show. Three apartments within the rowhome burned in the 200 block of North 15th Street beginning around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, according to the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety. Unconscious Man Rescued From Roof In Lancaster County: Officials (

Multiple fire companies worked together to rescue an unconscious man from the roof of a home on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 14, the Witmer Fire Protective Association announced later that day. The elderly man was found "not alert, stuck on top of a roof of a mobile home, and unable to get down," as stated in the release. Members of Lafayette, Witmer, and Ronks fire companies, as well as Lancaster EMS, worked together to get the man down safely. It's unclear why the man was on the roof.

GoFundMe Launches To Help Family Who Escaped House Fire In Lititz
A GoFundMe has been launched to help a family who escaped from a house fire saving their lives but costing them all of them everything else — including the family dog and cat. Jim and Shannon Eves along with their daughter Ella, survived the fire at their home in the first block of West Orange Street in Lititz which started around 6 a.m., Thursday, July 25, according to the fundraiser started by their son Hunter's girlfriend, Cambrie Kagan, and an earlier release by the police. Seven firefighters were injured when two tankers, from two different companies, collided on the way to a massive warehouse fire in South Central Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to separate releases issued the following morning, July 13. Tanker 37 with Laurel Fire Company #1, was involved in a “motor vehicle accident along with Tanker 8 of the Community Fire Company # 1 – York New Salem," as Chief David E. Six people were taken to the hospital — including one person who jumped from an upper story— after a townhouse fire in Hampden Township on Monday morning. Fire crews were called to the 6300 block of Galleon Drive at 5:11 a.m. on June 20, according to emergency dispatchers. In all 12 fire companies responded to the scene. Biglerville Mom Dies In Crash, Infant Daughter Airlifted: PA State Police
A 25-year-old Biglerville mom was killed and her infant daughter was medevaced following a two-vehicle crash on Memorial Day, Pennsylvania State Police in Adams County announced on Thursday, May 30. Brianna "Brie" Michelle Lucas was found dead in her 2005 Chevrolet Impala at the scene of the crash, PSP explained.
