Amish Cheese Factory Catches Fire In PA (

An Amish-owned cheese factory in Lancaster County caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 13, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Emergency crews were called to the scene at Oak Shade Cheese factory in Kirkwood, Little Britain Township around 3 p.m., dispatchers at LCWC detailed. Although smoke with the only thing reported, more than 20 fire crews responded to the scene. At least one building was evacuated, according to dispatchers. Toddler Struck In Lancaster County (

A toddler was hit by a vehicle on Thursday morning, Nov. 7, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. First responders were called to the Springville and Peters roads intersection in Salisbury Township around 11:25 a.m. A 16-month-old child was struck but thankfully the injuries were minor, according to emergency dispatchers. 3 People Injured In Amish Horse-Buggy Crash: Lancaster County Dispatch
Three people were injured in a crash involving a horse and buggy and a truck on Sunday night, Oct. 20, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The crash happened at the intersection of Nottingham Road and Little Britain Road in Little Britain Township around 7:40 p.m., according to LCWC. Three people from the horse and buggy were injured, but it was not clear if they were taken to a hospital. Female Flagger ID'd After Fatal Strike At PA Construction Site: Coroner
The woman who died while working as a traffic flagger at a construction site early morning on Thursday, Oct. 10, has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office the following afternoon. Linetta Wells, 56, of the 900 block of North Hanover Street in Pottstown was directing traffic when she was struck by a SUV at the intersection of Stone Mill and Plymouth roads in Manor Township around 7:38 a.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications and later named by First Deputy Coroner Casey Buckley. Amish Farm Has Two-Alarm Barn Fire: Authorities
An Amish barn had a blaze burning through it early Thursday morning, Oct. 10, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The call to the fire at the farm located in the 5900 block of Meadville Road in Salisbury Township, Narvon came into LCWC at 3:24 a.m., according to the supervisor. The area of Meadeville and Red Hill roads were closed as fire crews battled the blaze. The barn stored hay, not animals, so no humans or animals were injured. The man who died in a crash after fleeing from the police has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office and as detailed in a release by the New Holland Police. A fire led officials to evacuate a Pizza Hut in Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3. The fire broke out at the Pizza Hut located at 320 North Reading Road near the intersection when Dutchland Avenue in Ephrata at 12:05 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. Pedestrian ID'd After Fatal Hit-Run Strike Near Dutch Wonderland: Coroner
The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30. John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner.
