Man Fatally Struck By Unknown Truck On PA Turnpike: PA State Police A man was fatally struck by an unknown truck on the shoulder of Interstate 176 westbound near mile marker 304, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024. Troopers from the Embreeville barracks responded to the crash in East Nantmeal Township, Chester County, between 2:45 a.m. and 4:03 a.m., according to the release. Investigators say the man was hit in the westbound lane, but the truck involved did not stop. Troopers are calling this a suicide, but authorities are now asking drivers traveling on I-176 westbound, particularly near the Camiel Service Plaza during that time,…

Tips Sought In Coatesville Man's 1975 Murder State police continue to investigate the killing of Wasyl Towber.  Towber, of Coatesville, was 41 years old when authorities found his body in Brandywine Creek on July 16, 1975, troopers said in a release. His remains were located just north of Dowlin Forge Road in East Brandywine Township and showed "numerous injuries," authorities said.  Towber's manner of death has been ruled homicide. Investigators believe he was murdered sometime between July 14 and July 17 before his body was placed in the river. His right arm had been previously amputated at the elbow, police added.&nb…

Phony Amazon Employee Steals Package From Chester County Porch: State Police A man wearing an Amazon delivery vest swiped a package off a West Bradford porch on Friday, May 17, troopers say.  The suspect arrived at the Thorndale Road home just minutes after a FedEx truck dropped off four iPhones, according to state police. The theft was caught by the homeowner's porch camera.  Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Embreeville at 610-486-6280 or submit a tip online.
