Victim, 68, Violently Robbed In Rochelle Park ShopRite Parking Lot, Police Say A 42-year-old Passaic man was arrested in Rochelle Park after robbing a 68-year-old North Bergen man at a local ShopRite and Dunkin complex, authorities said. Police were called to the complex on West Passaic Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 where a man later identified as Ramsey Thompson approached the victim and asked for money, Rochelle Park Police Capt. One Hospitalized In Early-Morning 3-Car Crash, Lawnside Firefighters Say One person was hospitalized in an early-morning crash in Camden County Wednesday, Sept. 25, firefighters said. The Lawnside Fire Department responded to the crash, along with Magnolia Fire Co. Squad 29, at approximately 5 a.m., the LFD said on Facebook.  Photos show that the crash happened along Route 30, outside of the Lawnside Commons on Route 30 and involved a pickup truck and two other vehicles. One patient was transported to the hospital by Magnolia Ambulance Corps, according to the LFD. All lanes had reopened as of 8:30 a.m.

Andrew "AJ" Barchetto, 46, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 22, according to family members and his obituary on the Wood Funeral Home website. Barchetto was the assistant principal of Oakcrest High School, where he also served as the supervisor of special education and child study team, the school's website says. Would-Be Jumper Hospitalized After Closing Lanes Of George Washington Bridge (Update) A would-be George Washington Bridge jumper was hospitalized Tuesday night, Sept. 24, after bringing traffic along the bridge to a halt, authorities said. A spokesperson for the Port Authority Police Department confirmed the investigation but not have any further information as of 7:40 p.m. Wednesday morning, a spokesperson said that the incident was reported at 5:42 p.m. near the 179th Street ramp in the westbound lanes. All lanes along the ramp were closed. The man was removed and taken to a local hospital, the PAPD said. Traffic resumed at 7:24 p.m.
