Flames Rip Through Bucks County Apartment (

Multiple fire departments responded to a blaze at a Penndel residence on Thursday, July 6, officials say. Firefighters were called to a two-story building at around noon, according to Newtown Fire Rescue. Video from the scene posted by Penndel Volunteer Fire Company showed flames engulfing the back porch of the Acosta Doors building, 145 Durham Road. Teams were able to get the flames under control in about 20 minutes, Newtown fire officials said. Crews worked the scene for an additional three hours, according to Penndel firefighters. Pickup Driver Pinned, 2 Hospitalized In Snowy Bucks County Crash
Two people were hospitalized in a snowy crash the evening of Friday, Jan. 28 in Bucks County. One of the two vehicles -- a pickup truck -- was on its side, while the other went into the backyard of a home on Bristol Oxford Valley Road around 7:30 p.m. in Levittown, according to the William Penn Fire Company and Levittown Now. The driver was partially ejected and trapped under his vehicle, the news outlet said. He was extricated by firefighters.

Driver Dead In Fiery Bucks County Nursing Home Crash
A female driver died in a fiery crash at a Bucks County nursing home Monday morning, fire officials said. The woman was trapped inside of the vehicle that had struck the stone porch area of the Langhorne Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center on Manor Avenue when Langhorne Middletown Fire Chief Frank Farry arrived at the scene just after 8 a.m., he said. Farry and a police officer used fire extinguishers to contain the blaze until engines arrived. The unidentified female driver was pronounced dead and the coroner was called to the scene, Farry said.
