Dozens Rescued After Malfunction At Six Flags America In Maryland Leaves Riders Stranded
Dozens of thrill-seekers got more than they bargained for after a ride malfunction left them stranded in the air at Six Flags America in Maryland. Prince George’s County Fire/EMS said technical rescue crews were called to the 13700 block of Central Avenue in Largo at 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, for a report of riders stranded on a ride. Numerous emergency crews rescued a man "who was wedged in a crevice, deep inside the Wind Cave at the Clark Nature Preserve" on Saturday night into Sunday morning, officials explained to Daily Voice on Monday, Sept. 9. The man was rescued after 1 a.m. after over five and a half hours stuck in the cave, rescue workers explained. A tree fell onto a house in Norristown Tuesday, June 7, authorities said. City rescue crews were called to the 300 block of East Marshall Street after receiving a report of a trapped resident, the Norristown Fire Department said.
