Ron Jon Surf Shop Founder Ron DiMenna Dies, 88 Ron Jon Surf Shop founder Ron DiMenna, whose surfboard sales on Long Beach Island grew into a surf empire, died Saturday, Sept. 6, the company announced Sunday. He was 88 years old. “The entire Ron Jon family mourns this loss,” said Michele Goodwin, president of Ron Jon Surf Shop. “On behalf of our Board of Directors, management team, and employees, we extend our deepest sympathy to Ron’s wife, Lynne DiMenna.” According to an obituary published by Space Coast Daily, DiMenna grew up near the Jersey Shore and discovered surfing in 1959. Council Rock HS Grad, Bucks County Native Raymond Kruzick Dies, 31 Bucks County native Raymond D. Kruzick died on Aug. 13 at the age of 31. The Newtown resident was a 2009 graduate of Council Rock High School, according to his obituary. Kruzick was remembered for his "charismatic personality, belly laughter, and kind heart, always caring for those around him."
