These 64 PA Big Lots Stores Are Among Nearly 1,000 Closing Nationwide: Here's When
Big Lots, the popular discount retailer, is officially going out of business. The company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September, has announced plans to close all 963 of its remaining stores nationwide, including the remaining 64 locations in Pennsylvania. Big Lots had 73 stores located in the Keystone State when they declared bankruptcy over the summer. More than 6% of all Big Lots were located in the commonwealth, with the most stores located in Texas. The identity of a 55-year-old father of five shot by police in East Greenville has been released by the Montgomery County coroner. Gabriel Diaz died of multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and shoulder in the shooting on Saturday night, Sept, 14, Coroner Dr. Janine Darby told Daily Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Missing Woman Last Seen In Bucks County: Police
Hilltown Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing woman. Christal Ruth was last seen near Spur Road and Bethlehem Pike in Souderton on Monday, March 11, the department said in a release. Family members last heard from her in January, police said. A man accused of armed robbery was arrested while he was on the clock at a Souderton grocery store, US Marshals told Daily Voice. Jahmir Radi Green, 25, had been sought in connection with a string of thefts in June — including an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Warminster, an attempted burglary at a gun shop in Hatboro, and another armed robbery in Warrington — according to police. A Montgomery County woman who has not been seen since late last month is believed by authorities to be "endangered," and police are asking residents to keep an eye out. Christi Troiano, 56, of Souderton, was reported missing by family members on April 25, borough police wrote in a release. "According to her family, Christi left her home in the early morning hours and indicated that she may intend to harm herself," the department said. One person died and two others were injured in a Hilltown Township crash Tuesday night, authorities said. Three men were loading items into a parked pick-up truck with a small trailer when a car traveling northbound in the 1600 block of Hilltown Pike struck the back of the trailer around 9:40 p.m., according to Hilltown Township police.
