Shark Bites PA Teen Surfing In NJ
A 15-year-old girl from Pennsylvania was bitten by a shark while surfing off the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The shark bite occurred off Stone Harbor's 109th Street Beach, around 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, Stone Harbor officials said. The injured surfer sustained several cuts to her left foot and calf, officials said. She received immediate onsite medical treatment from Stone Harbor Fire/Rescue. A 12-year-old girl was bitten by a shark earlier this week. Jordan Prushinski, of Luzerne County, left her landlocked state and headed to Maryland earlier in the week for a family vacation at the coast. "I was on the beach and I was bleeding everywhere,” she told WBRE News. It all started when she was swimming at the 19th Street Beach in Ocean City on Monday. A wave came in and she felt something on her leg. She ran out of the water-- bleeding from her left leg-- and was treated by lifeguards.
