Fatal Crash Closes Rt 422: PA State Police
A fatal crash is closed Route 422 Friday morning, authorities say. The crash happened in the eastbound lanes at mile marker 188, Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice around 8 a.m. on June 28. Troop K Philadelphia and Skippack Station Troopers are currently on the scene of the fatal crash. Hawk Stuck In Car Rescued By Pennsylvania State Police Troopers
Pennsylvania State Police troopers rescued a hawk that struck and got stuck in a car grill on Feb. 21. Trooper Rahn (pictured) and Trooper Williams teamed up to remove an injured Red-Railed Hawk from the grill in Carlisle on Wednesday morning. The bird has been taken to Wildlife in Need PA for additional care. This is the second bird rescue by PSP troopers this month. Bald Eagle Struck On Highway Rescued By Pennsylvania State Police Troopers
Two Pennsylvania State Police Troopers went on a rescue mission for a special bird. Troopers Alex Ebbert and Emilio Rizzo were called to a report of a bald eagle struck on Route 422 in Greenwood Township, Perry County on Sunday around 11 a.m., according to PSP. They arrived to find that the bird suffered from an injured wing after being hit by a car. "Trooper Ebbert used his cruiser jacket to wrap the bird for secure transport," state police stated in a release. "They met PA Game Commission personnel at PSP Newport, who took the eagle for rehabilitation."

An accused DUI driver has been arrested in connection with a crash that killed two women in Montgomery County early this year. A 32-year-old man is being held on numerous charges and $1,000,000 in bail after a wild armed robber in Lebanon City, authorities announced on Thursday night. Authorities in Chester County are searching for the driver who they say followed and then shot at another traveler late at night on Route 422. According to police investigators, the victim was headed west from King of Prussia at about 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20 when another driver — "possibly a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee" — got behind them and began flashing their high beams. Berks County Man, 21, Dies In Route 422 Crash: Report
A 21-year-old Berks County man died in a crash on Route 422, WFMZ reports. Nathaniel Stine, of Exeter Township, died around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 after the crash in the westbound lanes, near Daniel Boone Road, the outlet says citing the county coroner. Pursuit-Crash On Route 422 Injures 2 State Troopers: Report
Two Pennsylvania State Troopers were seriously hurt in a pursuit that ended in a crash on Route 422 overnight, according to CBS News. The troopers were trying to stop a U-Haul box truck wanted in recent thefts when they initiated a stopping maneuver that caused a crash between the box truck, troop car and a dump truck around 3 a.m. on the westbound side in Limerick, the outlet said. A suspect wanted for his role in the deadly shooting of a 27-year-old man in Pottstown last month was nabbed by police Wednesday, authorities said. Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Berks County crash as a 22-year-old man. Anthony Rota, of Boyertown, was heading west on Route 422 when he lost control and struck a guardrail around 8:30 a.m. in Exeter, according to police. An overturned dump truck filled with sand caused temporary lane closures on Route 422 in Upper Providence Township (Montgomery County) Friday morning, authorities said. Pottstown Woman Had 47 Heroin Baggies, Meth In Routine Traffic Stop, State Police Say
A 53-year-old Pottstown woman was busted with 47 baggies of heroin and four grams of methamphetamine, authorities said. Barbara Guerrero, was in a 2009 Ford Focus, when troopers pulled her over for unknown traffic violations just before midnight on the westbound side of Route 422/S. Collegeville Road in Upper Providence May 10, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release. Skippack troopers arrested Guerrero, with charges expected to be filed in District Court, the news release says.
