Pottstown Man, 60, Dies From Burns Suffered In House Fire: Coroner A 60-year-old man from Pottstown died of burns suffered in a house fire, authorities said. John Roddenberry was pronounced dead on Sunday, Aug. 18, at about 3:20 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner. The cause of death was burns over more than 50 percent of his body, the coroner said. The fire occurred on Sunday, Aug. 18 at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 15 Block of W. 3rd Street, Pottstown. In addition to the coroner's office, the Pottstown Borough Police Department and the Pottstown Fire Department are investigating.

Truck Catches Fire In Pottstown Station: Authorities Firefighters responded to a blaze in their own station in Pottstown on Thursday night, April 18, authorities said in a release.  Engine 69-9’s cab caught fire at the Good Will Fire Company Station 69A around 8:40 p.m., according to Pottstown Fire Department.  The truck's cab was "fully involved," but firefighters were able to keep the blaze contained to the vehicle and extinguish the flames quickly, officials said. Two ambulances, a fire rehab unit, the Pottstown Fire Police response unit, and the station's engine bays suffered smoke damage.  One firefighter was taken t…

Pottstown Fire Erupts In Flames Near Scene Of Deadly Home Explosion Firefighters worked the scene of a two-alarm blaze in Pottstown early on Tuesday just steps away from the site of a deadly explosion that killed four children and their great-aunt last year.  The two-alarm blaze happened at around 4:15 a.m. on March 21, affecting two empty homes and a "roll-off dumpster," said the Limerick Fire Department's Station 51.  Footage from the scene recorded by area resident Antonio Gallardo showed multiple fire companies on Hale Street near the intersection with Jefferson Avenue as smoke billowed from a dumpster.  The Gilbertsville company said they were on the…
