Bucks Felon Had 'Ghost Gun,' Weapon-Making Lab In Apartment, DA Says A convicted felon in Bucks County was sentenced to 10 years in jail after authorities found an illegal "ghost gun" in his home.  Scott A. McCaughey, 65, of Plumstead Township, pleaded guilty in September to two counts of prohibited firearm possession, said county District Attorney Matthew Weintraub in a statement.  Police raided McCaughey's home on the 4900 block of Durham Road in April, where they found a semiautomatic M4-style “ghost gun” rifle and a bolt-action rifle, as well as two "mostly-completed assault-style rifle frames/receivers," investigators said.  A…

Bucks County's Brooke Doucette Dies, 30 Bucks County native Brooke K. Doucette died on Tuesday, Oct. 4. She was 30. Doucette, of Plumstead Township, died from complications of an aneurysm, according to her obituary. Born in Doylestown, Doucette graduated from Central Bucks East High School and later studied at Bucks County Community College, her obit says. She hoped to one day own an animal sanctuary and enjoyed motorcycle riding, gardening, and cooking. Doucette leaves behind her parents Scott and Nancy Doucette, her brother Ryan A. Doucette, her dog Zero, and many other loved ones. Funeral services were held privately.

Officers responding to the 4700 block of Stump Road in Plumstead Township around 12:20 a.m. on a report of a pedestrian struck by a fleeing car found a 61-year-old Pipersville man with "fatal injuries," according to the Plumstead Township Police Department. Surveillance tapes captured the middle-aged white man dressed in women's clothing trespassing on private property in the 6200 block of Kellers Church Road on April 7 between 8 and 8:55 p.m., police said. The man could be seen engaging in several lewd acts with himself while standing outside of his vehicle and along the sidewalk, police said.
