Police Officer Shoots Dog In North Philadelphia: Officials
A Philadelphia police officer shot a pit bull while it attacked a pomeranian in the city's West Oak Lane neighborhood last Wednesday, April 17, according to authorities. Police said the officer was called to the 2011 block of Eastburn Avenue around 8 a.m., where she "observed a large Pitbull dog attacking a Pomeranian on the sidewalk." Missing Philadelphia Man May Be In Chester, Authorities Say
Police are looking for a missing 75-year-old man. Robert Zack was last seen on Saturday, April 14 was last seen at his home on the 2400 block of W. Susquehanna Avenue, said Philadelphia police in a release. Authorities said he may be in the Chester area or near the 2800 block of West Dauphin Street in Strawberry Mansion. He is 6-foot-1 and bald with grey eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 216-686-3093.

Woman Shot In North Philadelphia Home: Police
A 49-year-old woman was shot once in the stomach in the living room of a Philadelphia residence Monday night, April 22, according to police. Investigators said it happened on the 100 block of Linton Street in Olney around 7:40 p.m. The victim was taken to Einstein Hospital in critical condition, authorities said. One person was detained in connection with the shooting and a weapon was recovered, PPD added.

Pedestrian Thrown Nine Feet In Philadelphia Hit-Run: Officials
A pedestrian suffered "serious head trauma" after being struck while crossing a Philadelphia street early Sunday morning, April 21, police told Daily Voice. The victim was hit by a dark blue Chevrolet Camaro while crossing the 5100 block of Grays Avenue around 1:20 a.m., authorities said. They were thrown about nine feet and taken to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, according to police. The driver, 34, fled eastbound on Grays Avenue but later surrendered to police, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing, PPD added.
