US Rt 30 Reopens After HazMat Called To Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer (Update) A jackknifed tractor-trailer caused major delays on US Route 30 on Friday afternoon. The tractor-trailer leaked fuel onto US Rt. 30 East by Exit: PA 462 - Lincoln Highway, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  The jackknifing happened around 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, dispatchers explained. No injuries were reported, but a HazMat crew remains on the scene for "spill control," dispatchers said. Company 63 from the  Lafayette Fire Company assisted Lancaster County HazMat with the cleanup. The fuel came from the tractor-trailer's saddle tanks, the company explained. …

Century-Old Pep Boys Closing Some NJ Auto Parts Stores Pep Boys is losing some of its pep. The century-old retail automotive chain based in Philadelphia plans to close more than 100 of its parts stores nationwide -- including several in New Jersey, according to multiple news reports. The automotive company is shifting away from auto parts stores but will keep its Pep Boys maintenance garages and tire outlets -- similar to Instant Oil Change or Mavis, reports said.
