Fatal Overdose Lands PA State Prison Drug Dealer More Jail Time: DA
An already incarcerated 31-year-old man was sentenced to more prison time after pleading guilty to the overdose-related death of another inmate, the Buck County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Allen Rhoades, 31, of Doylestown, was sentenced to seven to 20 years in prison for providing the drugs that led to the death of Joshua Patterson, 22, of Philadelphia, while both men were serving time on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, the DA's Office detailed in a release.

Bergen County actor and restaurant owner Frank Vallelonga Jr. was identified as the alleged overdose victim whose body was found dumped on a Bronx sidewalk earlier this week, authorities said.
Vallelonga, 60, a longtime Paramus resident more recently of Franklin Lakes, lived in a long shadow cast by his late father, Frank Sr., an actor known for his recurring role on "The Sopranos" -- and whose nickname, "Tony Lip," gave his son's Italian pasta and pizza joint its name.

Allentown Man Pleads Guilty In Deadly Fentanyl Overdose, Northampton County DA Says
A 32-year-old Allentown man pleaded guilty in connection to a deadly fentanyl overdose, authorities said.
Scott Guth, of the 200 block of S. 15th Street, pleaded guilty Thursday to drug delivery resulting in death, the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office said.
Guth sold two bundles of fentanyl that caused the death of 25-year-old Joseph Dell’Alba on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, the DA said.

Upland Police: Good Samaritans Aid Crying Child, 4, In Car After Dad ODs Driving
A Chester dad was charged with child endangerment after overdosing behind the wheel -- his 4-year-old child in the car, police said.
Upland officers found the crying child in the company of two strangers, who were standing outside of a vehicle on Upland Avenue in 30-degree weather around 1:20 p.m. March 2, authorities said.
The child's dad, Aaron Michael Powers, 25, of Chester, was found in the car suffering an overdose, police said.
Powers was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center for treatment and the child was turned over to family members.
