TV Journalist From Philadelphia Killed Covering Shooting In Florida
A Philadelphia-raised TV news reporter was shot and killed while covering an earlier shooting in Florida, his station confirmed. Dylan Lyons, 24, a Spectrum News 13 reporter died when the suspect in an earlier incident returned to the crime scene and opened fire Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 22, his Orlando station reported Thursday, Feb. 23. A photo journalist from the station was critically injured. Philly Area Youth Football Teams Headed To Playoffs Seek Donations
With the youth football season come and gone, nine Philadelphia area teams are headed to the 2022 Pop Warner National Championship in Orlando, Florida, and they are seeking donations from the community to help make it happen. The championship is a weeklong tournament between the top youth football teams in the country, culminating in the Pop Warner Super Bowl games on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Camping World Stadium, according to the event's website. Bob Saget Cause Of Death Revealed
Sources have confirmed the cause of death for Bob Saget. The comic and actor died of a brain bleed and is believed to have hit his head on an object at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 9, TMZ reports. He was 65 years old. Saget, a suburban Philadelphia native, had a bruise on the back of his head and likely did not know the severity of his injury when he got under his covers and went to bed, authorities tell TMZ. Pilot Pleads Guilty To Watching Porn, Exposing Himself To Female Co-Pilot On Flight From Philly
A former Southwest Airlines pilot pleaded guilty to watching porn on his laptop and exposing himself to the female co-pilot during a flight from Philadelphia to Orlando last August. Michael Haak, 60, of Longwood, FL, was sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to pay a $5,000 fine by U.S. Magistrate Judge J. Mark Coulson.
