York County Man, 55, Dies In Vehicle Fire: Police Authorities are investigating a deadly vehicle fire in Manchester Township.  Northern York Regional police were called to the 2400 block of Pin Oak Drive around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, May 23. They arrived to find a white 1994 GMC Safari minivan fully engulfed in flames.  York Area United Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and 55-year-old Thomas Rooney was found dead in the van, police said. York County Coroner IDs Drowned 11-Year-Old Boy The York County Coroner has identified an 11-year-old boy who drowned in Jackson Township Thursday night.Payton Gonzalez, of Spring Grove, was swimming with a friend in Codorus Creek near the Iowhead Damn when he went under water and didn't come back up around 5:40 p.m., authorities said.
