Icy Mix On Track To Slam Region Later This Week
Just as a storm bringing snowfall to parts of the Northeast has winded down, a new system on track for later in the week is expected to bring another round of wintry weather to the region. While there's still uncertainty surrounding the track and strength of the new system on track for later in the week, forecasters are predicting an icy mix for most of the region Thursday, Dec. 15 into Friday, Dec. 16. A storm system on track for the Northeast has the potential to bring accumulating snowfall to parts of the region and a mix of rain and snow in areas farther south. The system is on track for Sunday, Dec. 11, according to the National Weather Service. Major Storm System Expected To Bring Strong Winds, New Round Of Rain To Region
A significant storm on track for the Northeast is expected to bring potentially damaging gusts and a new round of rainfall in the middle of the workweek. The system will move in from the Midwest on Wednesday, Nov. 30. It's the same storm that could cause a "possible severe weather outbreak in the Southeast, as well as a swath of snow across the Plains and Upper Midwest," according to AccuWeather.com. A stretch of clear, dry weather will end just after Thanksgiving day as a complex, cross-country storm will bring periods of rain and strong winds to the region.
