Garage Fire Leads To Total Loss of Montgomery County Home: Authorities A Montgomery County home was declared to be a total loss following what started as a garage fire on Sunday, Oct. 27, according to authorities. The home, located at 401 Shipwrighter Way in Towamencin Township was a total loss due to fire and water damage, according to Towamencin Township Fire Marshal Bill Oettinger. While the fire was determined to be accidental, its origin is still under investigation, Oettinger said.  The fire was initially reported as being in the garage at 5:27 p.m., according to Oettinger. Crews In Lansdale Knock Down Memorial Day House Fire Crews knocked down a fire that broke out at a Lansdale home early Monday morning. Firefighters responded to a home at W. Mt Vernon and Broad streets just before 6 a.m., the Fairmount Fire Company said. The blaze was under control in 20 minutes. The Fire Department of Montgomery Township, North Penn Volunteer Fire Company and Worcester Volunteer Fire Department responded.
