With President Joe Biden set to make his first campaign appearance of 2024 in Montgomery County this weekend, police are warning of detours. Biden is slated to speak at Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike in Blue Bell, at 3:15 p.m., according to authorities. Two different Pennsylvania Lottery players in Montgomery County became millionaires playing scratch-off tickets this week, according to state gaming officials. Each lucky winner earned $3 million playing the "Ho Ho Holiday 100X" Scratch-Off, said the Pennsylvania Lottery. Pregnant Woman, 36, Killed In Lower Merion Pedestrian Crash
A pregnant woman died after she and four other pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Montgomery County on Saturday, Dec. 30, authorities said. The striking vehicle hit two parked cars and the five pedestrians at W. Rock Hill Road near Bryn Mawr Avenue around 2:45 p.m. in Lower Merion, police said. A physical altercation ensued following the crash. The 36-year-old woman and her unborn child died at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the crash, police said. Police arrived at the scene of a fender bender at a Huntingdon Valley Wawa to find a driver brandishing a baseball bat, authorities say. Officers were called to the 2500 Philmont Avenue store on Dec. 4, Lower Moreland police said in a release. A Sellersville man is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old victim in his car, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office. Miguel Angel Sanchez, 32, was arraigned on charges of rape, statutory sexual assault, and related counts in November, prosecutors said in a release. A call about a possible drug overdose at a King of Prussia motel ended in one arrest earlier this month, according to Upper Merion police. Authorities were dispatched to the Motel 6 on W. Dekalb Pike on Nov. 18 for a "suspicious person" possibly "under the influence of a controlled substance," the department said in a release. A woman from Pennsylvania has been charged with burglary and identity theft after she allegedly broke into a car in Connecticut, and tried to cash checks she stole from that car, police said.
