Missing Woman Possibly Killed In Harrisburg, Police Say
A woman has been missing for nearly three months and authorities believe she could have been killed in the Harrisburg area, according to an updated release on Friday, May 3. Tracy Scanlon, also known as Tracy Zalenski, 54 of the Pittsburgh area, was first reported missing to the Millvale Police Department. "All information from family and friends places her in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area," Susquehanna Township Police said in a release on March 19. Authorities are continuing to investigate the 1969 disappearance of Joan Marie Dymond. Dymond was 14 years old when she disappeared from Andover Street Park on June 25, 1969, authorities have said. Her remains were discovered more than 40 years later on Nov. 17, 2012, by individuals digging for relics on the grounds of a former coal-mining operation in Newport Township. A second arrest has been made in the murder of a Franklin Township man last December, authorities said. Daniel Matthews, 44, was arrested on Tuesday, March 12 in Philadelphia and charged with killing Artis Young and then taking his body back to Brooklyn, NY, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald said. Lehigh Coroner Investigating Death Of Woman Reported Missing
An Emmaus woman who was reported missing early on Tuesday, Feb. 13 was found dead near the railroad tracks in Alburtis Borough on Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Catherine E. Blank, 46, was pronounced dead on the 4700 block of Indian Creek road around 8:30 a.m., Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said in a release. Missing Bucks County Girl Last Seen Over A Week Ago: Police
Authorities in Warminster Township are searching for a missing child. Taylor Saunders, 13, was last seen near 120 East Street Road on Tuesday, Jan. 9 around 7 a.m., police said in a release. More than half a century after she vanished, Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating the disappearance of Ilonka Cann. The 22-year-old was pregnant and living with her husband Charles Cann II and their 15-month-old son in Huntington Mills, Luzerne County, according to authorities and the Charley Project. An Oxford man who was reported missing late last month was identified as the victim of a Delaware car crash, officials say.
