Allan G. Levin Of Topton, Killed In Longswamp Crash: PSP
The Topton man who died after crashing into a tree in Mertztown on Tuesday night, April 16 was Allan G. Levin, according to officials. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office said Levin, 51, hit a tree on the 700 block of State Street around 10:30 p.m. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he died from multiple blunt force injuries about an hour later, the Coroner's Office said. His manner of death was accidental. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

Driver, 30, Killed In Berks County Crash: Police
A 30-year-old driver was killed when his vehicle slammed into a pole in Berks County, authorities said. First responders found Steven Root, of Mertztown, trapped inside the car on the 1900 block of State Street in Longswamp Township around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, Pennsylvania State Police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, they said. Further details were not immediately provided. The crash remains under investigation.
