Three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on US Route 1 outside Media on Tuesday morning, according to officials. The crash happened on US Rt 1 South near the ramp to Route 252 (Providence Road) around 8 a.m. on July 2, authorities say. The driver of a transit van and two passengers have died, said the Delaware County District Attorney's Office. Their identities were not given. CASE: State Police Seek Tips In Media Girl's 1975 Disappearance
Authorities continue to investigate the 1975 disappearance of Wendy Eaton. Eaton was last seen on May 17 of that year near the intersection of Indian Lane and Media Station Road in Media, according to state police. According to a 2021 report by NBC Philadelphia, she was headed into town to buy a gift for her brother when she vanished. In 2021, PSP reportedly told NBC they believed the case was still solvable and that they now considered it a homicide. Police in Marple Township said they took an armed suspect into custody on Monday afternoon, April 1. Officers were called to the 400 block of Yale Avenue around 2:20 p.m. for "a domestic dispute involving a male armed with a rifle," Marple police said in a release. State police in Delaware County are investigating a home burglary, according to troopers in Media. Authorities said thieves smashed a back window of a home on Carnoustie Way in Edgemont Township and made off with $100,000 cash. : Missing Kentucky Rapist Thought To Be In Pennsylvania, Police Say
A convicted rapist who has not updated his address as required by Megan's Law is thought to be in or around Delaware County, according to state police. Eric Scott Jones, 45, no longer lives at the address he last provided in December 2019, said troopers in a release. Jones was convicted of third-degree rape and third-degree sodomy in Kentucky in 2002, according to the Pennsylvania Megan's Law website. A 46-year-old New Jersey State Trooper who went missing last weekend has been found safe, authorities said. Jason Dare was last seen walking away from a health facility in Media, PA, (Delaware County) on Sunday, March 19 at about 7 p.m., according to New Jersey State Police. In a social media post on Friday, March 24, State Police reported that Dare had been found safe in Pennsylvania. Dare's LinkedIn profile shows he apparently lives in Vineland, NJ.
