A 5-month-old infant and seven other Amish people were hospitalized after being rear-ended by an allegedly drunk and high driving, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday, July 22. James Leo Walkergoutal, 27 of West Chester, was found "under the influence of alcohol and drugs" when he rear-ended the horse and buggy, Pennsylvania State Police Lancaster Trooper James Grothey wrote in the release. Woman Punches Pennsylvania State Police Trooper: Affidavit
A 54-year-old woman has been charged after she punched a trooper, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Feb. 29. Tiffany Anne Mercer recent of Gap but previously of Bowmansville, Landisville, and Lancaster, punched a trooper on Dogwood Lane in Salisbury Township around 7:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, according to the PA State Police release. A Lancaster man has been accused of beating a woman then leaving her in a ditch and texting her brother telling him to "check the ditches and the hospital," Lancaster Online reports citing Pennsylvania state police. Frank Ali Doman II, 48, of Lancaster, struck the victim multiple times in his car between 1 and 2 a.m. Sunday, April 24, the outlet says citing police and court papers.
