On Wednesday, Aug. 14 a coroner was called to the area of search for a 10-year-old boy who went missing while kayaking in Yellow Breeches Creek – which became a recovery mission to retrieve his body on Monday, Aug. 12, the Fairview Township Fire Department announced. A 16-year-old Mennonite boy has died in a kayaking accident, authorities confirmed to Daily Voice on Thursday, Aug. 1. A 44-year-old kayaker was found dead in Swatara Creek, the Dauphin County Coroner's Office confirmed Friday morning. The Lancaster man was kayaking with friends when "he appears to have had a medical event," on Thursday, June 13, according to the coroner's release. Memorial services have been scheduled to honor the life of a Westchester County man who died after a powerful Nor'easter rolled in while he was kayaking on the Long Island Sound.
