Chester High School Football Player Killed In Shooting: Police
A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed on a street in Chester on Sunday evening, authorities announced on Tuesday, July 2. Zaheem Sabree was found with a gunshot wound to the head on East 24th Street near Crosby Street around 6:40 p.m., on June 30, city police detailed in the release. He was taken to an area hospital where he died from his wounds. Sabree played football at Chester High School, according to his account on Hudl.com. Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Michael Maher at 610-447-8428.

Police in Bucks County are searching for a man who they said spit on an officer at a high school football game. Tyler Devlin Cook, 30, of Doylestown, is wanted for felony assault and disorderly conduct, said Central Bucks Regional Police Department in a statement. A threat cleared Coatesville Area High School just before 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, officials said. A large police presence was reported at the school in the early afternoon. The William Allen High School football team is mourning the loss of one of its own. Treshawn J. Tracy, 15, died on Sunday, Sept. 25 after being shot in the area of 6th Street and Tilghman Street in Allentown, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. No one was injured when shots rang out after a high school football game in Philadelphia on Friday, Sept. 23, 6abc reports. The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. outside the field on 48th Street and Spruce Street, the outlet says. A central Pennsylvania high school football player is facing multiple criminal charges for attacking an official during last Friday night's game, according to police. Tyree Dyrell Brooks, 18, of York and a senior linebacker at Spring Grove High School, tackled and hit Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association official referee Richard Delaughter.
