A New Jersey man allegedly beat his mom to death after she tried to stop him from slicing a tattoo off of his leg, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice. Gloucester Township police were called to the Doran family's Blackwood home around 10:20 a.m. Saturday, March 2, as Daily Voice previously reported. Clementon Park & Splash World Shooting: Philadelphia Gunman Arrested, Police Say
A Philadelphia man was arrested for a shooting that broke out at a New Jersey water park. Quahee Eaton-Kennedy, 24, was arrested after the shooting in the parking lot of Clementon Park and Splash World around 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, Clementon police said. UPDATE: A man from Philadelphia and another from South Jersey admitted their roles in a major drug trafficking ring that dealt meth and fentanyl, federal authorities said. Kevin Salmon, 25, had 5½ pounds of meth and two guns in his home when it was raided by authorities, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Philip R. Sellinger said. Salmon had served as a courier for a major drug-trafficking network that "distributed large quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl," the U.S. attorney said. A Camden man was sentenced to 92 months in federal prison for his role in a holdup spree by a serial bank robber. Laque Hunter, 37, was recruited to rob the Ocean First Bank in Collingswood in July 2018 by Anthony L. Livingston, 50, also of Camden. Livingston helped with a demand note and even drove Hunter to the bank, authorities said. The two then split the proceeds. A 12-year-old boy died days after being found unresponsive on a school bus in Camden County, authorities said. Police in South Jersey seek the public's help finding a vehicle that allegedly hit and critically hurt a pedestrian, authorities said. Philly Woman Dead, 2 Hurt In South Jersey Crash
A Philadelphia woman died, and two others were injured in a South Jersey crash early Friday morning, authorities said. Lorraine Smith, 45, was in her Chevy Impala driving northbound on Route 42 near milepost 9.7 in Gloucester Township when she veered off the road and hit a tree around 3:30 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene while her two passengers, a 33-year-old woman, and a 12-year-old boy were taken to Cooper University Hospital with serious injuries.
