Crews Respond To Early Morning Fire In Easton Firefighters were at the scene of a three-alarm blaze in Easton on Friday, July 5.  Forks Township fire officials said they were called to Lehigh and South 11th streets around 2 a.m. Dewey Fire Company said they assisted with suppression, search, overhaul, and cleanup and were at the site until 5 a.m. WFMZ reports the blaze spread to multiple apartments and said that one person was taken to the hospital.  Daily Voice has reached out to Easton Fire Department for additional details.  This is a developing story. Philadelphia Fire Sends Five To Hospital, Officials Say More than 75 Philadelphia firefighters responded to an early morning blaze in Strawberry Mansion on Tuesday, March 12, according to authorities.  First responders were called to the 2800 block of Lehigh Avenue just after 3 a.m., a PFD spokesperson told Daily Voice.  Five people were treated at the scene by EMS and then taken to area hospitals, the department said.  Firefighters were on the scene for over an hour, they added.  PFD is reminding residents that free smoke alarms are available by calling 311 or 215-686-8686.

Longtime Philly Firefighter Dies On Duty, Department Says John Garrow, a longtime battalion chief with the Philadelphia Fire Department, died while on duty this week, officials say.  Garrow passed after suffering a medical emergency during his shift on Monday, Feb. 19, PFD said in a release.
