Murder-suicide: Woman Found Shot Dead, Man Killed By Fire In NJ Home Explosion, Cops Say
The home explosion in South Jersey over the weekend has been ruled a murder-suicide, authorities confirmed Tuesday, May 13.
A male victim, believed to be the tenant, was found in the living room with a handgun nearby after officials extinguished the blaze at 13 Tranquility Ct. around 2 a.m. Sunday, May 11, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
His death was ruled a suicide caused by the fire. A female victim was located in a bedroom, and her death was ruled a homicide due to a gunshot wound to the head, officials said.

Two men from Ohio were killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County, the coroner announced on Monday, May 12.
Saurav Prabhakar, 23, and Manav Patel, 20, both of Cleveland, died in the crash that happened around 7:51 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 near mile marker 286 eastbound in East Cocalico Township, according to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. Prabhakar, who was driving, and Patel, the passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m., investigators said.

The cabin door of a small plane popped open just seconds into takeoff, causing it to “shake” and ultimately crash into a retirement community near Lancaster Airport, federal investigators said in a preliminary report released on Thursday, April 17.

The identities have been released of three people who were killed when a small aircraft crashed near a busy stretch of I-95 in Florida.
The incident happened around 10:20 a.m. Friday, April 11, in Boca Raton, and created a large plume of smoke visible for miles.

Murder-Suicide Sparks Fire Hours Before Eviction; Shooter ID'd: Lebanon DA
A Lebanon man shot a neighbor, set his apartment on fire, and killed himself before an eviction on Friday, April 11, police and prosecutors said.
Duane A. Ulmer, 62, opened fire around 4 a.m. in the 500 block of South 9th Street, Lebanon City police announced. Officers found a 55-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds outside an apartment building at 544 S. 9th Street. He was rushed to a local hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the Hershey Medical Center, police said.
