Colin Reedy, the Chester County firefighter who was killed in a car crash late Friday, Oct. 20, planned to spend the rest of his life with his girlfriend, loved ones said in his obituary.
The 25-year-old Reedy and his partner Emily Gindele, were both volunteers with the West Whiteland Fire Company, who were on their way to a call during heavy downpours when their vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree around 9 p.m., authorities have said.

A Pennsylvania fire department is mourning the loss of one of their own.
West Whiteland firefighter Colin Reedy, 25, was responding to a call with firefighter Emily Gindele, during heavy downpours on Friday, Oct. 20, when their vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, the department said.
The incident happened around 9 p.m., on Pottstown Pike in Uwchlan Township, 6abc reports.

A Chester County dad who falsely accused a neighbor of sexually abusing his son could spend almost two years in prison.
Kiran Jonnala, 49, of Exton, will serve between one and 23 months in state prison and must pay $5,000 in fines, a judge ruled at his sentencing hearing, said acting Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry.
According to authorities, Jonnala was the president of his local Homeowners' Association when a neighbor filed a civil suit against the body in September 2020.

Chester County Native, Starbucks Barista Dies At 27
Chester County native and beloved uncle Stephen A. Koller died Friday, Oct. 7. He was 27 years old.
Koller, nicknamed "T-T," was born in Coatesville and was a graduate of Downingtown East High School, according to his obituary.
He lived in Exton, worked as a barista at Starbucks for six years, and was studying physical fitness and nutrition through the Arizona State University, family members said.
Those close to Koller said he had a unique personality and a great sense of humor.

A six-hour standoff with police Monday led to the arrest of an Exton man who shot at officers, authorities said.
Christopher Smith, 47, has been charged with multiple counts of attempted homicide, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, and related offenses, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said in a Wednesday news release.

A two-hour standoff ended with a home intruder in custody -- completely naked, authorities in West Whiteland Township said.
Officers responding to a house for an alarm activation around 4:30 a.m. Monday found a broken window and heard someone upstairs, Det. Scot Pezick said.
The officers left the house and established a perimeter, bringing the county SWAT team to the scene.
Around 6:15 a.m., 36-year-old Bryan R. Smith, of Exton, walked out of the house stark naked, authorities said.
Smith was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.

A 30-year-old New Jersey woman was busted fraudulently trying to withdraw money from other people's bank accounts in Chester County, authorities said.
Aysha Aguilu, of Hackensack, NJ, first attempted to withdraw the money from a West Chester TD bank branch the morning of Thursday, May 27, West Whiteland Police Det. Scott Pezick said.
That bank alerted other TD Bank branches in the area, so when Aguilu came to the Exton branch later that day, bank officials immediately called police, Pezick said.
