Man Fatally Electrocuted Working At Yale Golf Course ID'd As 54-Year-Old Grandfather
Police have identified the man who was fatally electrocuted while working at the Yale Golf Course last month as a 54-year-old New Haven grandfather. Luís Alberto Marcatoma was working on a restoration project at the New Haven course on Aug. 21 when a downed power line electrocuted him, Yale Public Safety Chief Duane Lovello has said. It's unclear if the wire fell on him or if he stepped on it by mistake. The Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled his death an accident. Pennsylvania Apartment Site Raided; 17 Undocumented Workers Taken Into Custody, ICE Says
Seventeen people were taken off the job site and into custody after a federal immigration raid in Pennsylvania, authorities announced. Agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and other federal partners showed up at the Five 10 Flats apartment complex on East 3rd Street in Bethlehem on Tuesday, June 11, and served a Notice of Inspection. The Food and Drug Administration has proposed moving nutrition labels to the front of most packaged foods, aiming to help consumers make healthier choices, officials said. UPDATE: A deportee who snuck back into the U.S. and was living illegally in Paterson was sentenced Tuesday to 95 months in federal prison for raping a 15-year-old city girl. Juan Carlos Morales-Pedraza, a 35-year-old Mexican citizen who was born in Ecuador, had been deported in 2010, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said. Aspiring NJ Attorney Found Dead In PA Was 'Trying To Figure Out Way To Change The World'
Support is surging for the family of a 26-year-old aspiring attorney from New Jersey who was found dead in Pennsylvania last week. Funeral services for Kevin Rosero will be at the Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. Rosero's body was found in a wooded area of Richland Township, Pennsylvania last week. Brothers Anthony Gamble, 19, and Joshua Gamble, 17, of Franklin Township (Somerset County) have been charged in Rosero's death.
