Man Dies 12 Days After Serious Lancaster County Crash, Police Say A man has died in the hospital from injuries sustained in a serious car crash the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced on Monday, April 22. East Petersburg Man's Cause Of Death Revealed After Standoff Turned Fatal Fire (Update) The cause of death has been released for a man found dead after a "domestic incident" turned standoff ending with a house fire, the Lancaster County Coroner explained. Mark D. Hackman, 53, of 6294 High Street in East Petersburg Borough, died by a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, and the manner was suicide, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber. Scooter Rider Hospitalized With 'Life-Threatening Injuries' After Strike By SUV, Nlcrpd Say A man in his 20s is in the hospital with "life-threatening injuries" after being struck by an SUV on Friday afternoon, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police announced the following morning.  Officers with the NLCRPD were called to a report of a "pedestrian struck" at the intersection of Main Street/PA Route 72 and Martin Drive in East Petersburg Borough at approximately 3:51 p.m. Arriving officers found a young man lying in the middle of Main Street and his scooter was lodged under a Nissan Pathfinder (pictured).
