Omar Fisher, 15, of Peach Bottom, was recovered from the pond on the 100 block of Herr Drive in Fulton Township around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3, officials said. Belmar lifeguards and Water Rescue members rushed to the area off the 8th Avenue jetty around 12:30 p.m. Monday after beachgoers tried in vain to rescue a group of distressed swimmers, police said.
