The National Weather Service has issued multiple weather warnings across several states for Monday afternoon and evening. : Weather Service Warns Against Rip-Tide Swimming As Temperatures Rise
The National Weather Service is warning that there is a "high risk" of rip tide currents this weekend at New Jersey and Delaware beaches, just as temperatures are expected to climb up into the 90s. An offshore storm is expected to cause swells, making swimming potentially dangerous, according to forecasts. “Remember, the ocean water temperature is only around 60 degrees and many beaches are not yet staffed with lifeguards,” the NWS’s Mount Holly station said on Twitter. Driver Sleeping In I-95 Construction Zone Busted With Heroin, Police Say
A 27-year-old Delaware man who was sleeping in his car in a construction zone on I-95 was found with heroin, authorities said. Troopers stopped a silver Ford Fusion after a witness reported a man appeared to be sleeping in traffic at mile marker 1.0 in Lower Chichester May 5 around 10:30 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. There they found Tyler Truex, of Rehoboth, who was found with heroin and drug paraphernalia, police said. He was arrested without incident.

Hackensack detectives found a Philadelphia couple carrying a stolen handgun and drugs during a traffic stop, authorities said. A man accused of firing a gun inside his Delaware County home was in custody after leading police on a multi-state pursuit over the weekend, 6abc Action News reports.
