Trailer Fire Shuts Tacony-Palmyra Bridge
All lanes of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge were closed Sunday evening, July 30 after a tractor trailer caught fire underneath it. Search Ends For Infant Lost In Bucks County Flood: Officials
After more than a week of active efforts to locate 9-month-old Conrad Sheils, Bucks County officials are ending their search. Sheils, his sister 2-year-old Matilda, and their mother Katie Seley were swept away in the flash flooding that submerged sections of Bucks on Sunday, July 16, Daily Voice has reported. 'Decomposing' Body Pulled From Delaware River, Police Say
Philadelphia police are investigating after a man's body was recovered from the Delaware River late on Sunday, July 23, the department told Daily Voice. It happened just before 8 p.m. near the corner of North Delaware Avenue and Orthodox Street in Bridesburg, authorities said. The remains were found in the water by a passing ship and reported to the US Coast Guard, police said. A person jumped into the Delaware River, Pennsylvania State Police told Daily Voice on Thursday. The unidentified person jumped from the I-80 toll bridge around midday on July 20, 2023, PSP explained. The jumper was taken in by authorities for "evaluation," said Trooper Anthony Petroski. Human remains recovered from the Delaware River in Pennsylvania last week have been identified as a New Jersey college student, officials say.
