Philly Groin Shooting Leaves Man Critical (Developing)
A 60-year-old man was shot once in the groin Philadelphia police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Point Breeze Avenue, Philadelphia around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, the police detailed in the release.
The victim was taken by Medic 35 to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable but critical condition, according to the police.
"At this time, no scene has been located, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered," police wrote in the statement.

Man Accused Of Beheading Dad, Posting YouTube Video, Testifies At 1st Hearing: Bucks DA
Justin Mohn, the Middletown Township man who allegedly beheaded his father and posted a disturbing 14-minute-long YouTube video holding his father’s head testified for two hours Tuesday, Sept. 10, authorities announced.
Mohn also allegedly called for violent attacks against members of the federal government, according to Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn.
His father was a government worker.
After testimony at his preliminary hearing at the Bucks County Justice Center, Mohn, 32, was ordered held for trial for the Jan. 30, 2024, killing of his father, the DA said.

A man described by authorities as a "violent predator" was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Monday, Sept. 9 for kidnapping, robbing, and killing a Pennsylvania co-worker, authorities announced.
