‘He Kissed the Twins, Then He Was Gone’: PA Dad Killed In Freak Car Jack Accident
Just two weeks after celebrating their twins’ first birthday, a Bethlehem family was shattered by tragedy.
Matthew D. Semsey, 33, was kissing his one-year-olds inside their home before heading outside to work on his car. Minutes later, a jack failed, causing the vehicle to collapse on top of him, killing him instantly on Saturday, June 21, officials say.
Now, his wife, Kiara, is left to raise their twins alone.
“One minute he was inside kissing our babies,” she wrote in a heartbreaking GoFundMe campaign. “The next, he was gone.”

Man Charged With Felonies For Showing Stolen Handgun In Public, Fleeing: Bethlehem Police
A Lehigh Valley man was arrested after showing off a stolen handgun to a group of people and running from police, authorities said.
Quamyr J. Gray, 19, was charged with felony counts of receiving stolen property and firearms not to be carried without a license, as well as resisting arrest and possession of marijuana, Bethlehem Police said in a release on Monday, July 4.
Gray, of Bangor, showed a handgun to a group of people on the 200 block of E. North St. around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, police said.

Bethlehem Mom Lauren Sestito Dies, 35
Bethlehem mom Lauren Sestito died on Tuesday, March 29. She was 35.
Sestito graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2005, and earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State - Lehigh Valley campus in 2009, her obituary says.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church and previously worked as a tax accountant and sales coordinator, her memorial says. Her obituary remembered her as a "devoted mother."
