Gun Backfires As Man Terrorizes Ex-GF, Family In Bucks County: Police
When Donte Powell pulled the trigger of a gun that he moments before held to his ex-girlfriend's head, nothing happened, authorities in Bucks County said.
The magazine had fallen from the firearm that Powell was pointing up the stairs of his ex's Bensalem home last Saturday May 20, and a safety mechanism wouldn't allow it to fire, police said.
Still, he tried again. And again after that.
That's when someone pushed Powell out of the home, and he fled. It wasn't long before he was captured with help from a SWAT Team, though, at a home on the 100 Old York Road in Jenkintown, authorities said.…
Fugitive Nabbed In Lancaster, Police Say
A convicted burglar who absconded from justice has been arrested.
Taleek Azan Perez, 25, of Lancaster was arrested by the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force in the 100 block of South Third Street in Columbia Borough around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, according to the Columbia Borough of Police, who assisted the marshals.
Perez was wanted on an outstanding warrant after he fled from state parole, according to the police.

Northampton Man Arrested For Child Pornography, State Police Say
A Northampton County man faces more than a dozen felony charges related child sex abuse material, state authorities said.
Bruno Gomes, 47, of East Allen Township, was taken into custody after troopers executed a search warrant at his Colony Drive home on Thursday, Feb. 16, state police wrote.
Gomes was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge John Capobianco on ten counts of possession, two counts of dissemination, and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility, per the police report.
