Pedestrian Killed By Kia Crash In Philadelphia: Police
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Kia Optima on Aramingo Avenue, Philadelphia police announced on Friday, Dec. 27. The crash happened around 6:56 a.m. at the intersection of Huntingdon Street and Aramingo Avenue in the 26th District, police said. A man believed to be about 35 years old was hit by a southbound Kia Optima. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department medics at 7:11 a.m., according to authorities. Thieves Remove ATM From Fishtown Gas Station: Philadelphia PD
Detectives are looking for two men who stole an ATM from outside a Philadelphia gas station on Thursday morning, June 6. Police said it happened at a Karko on the 2300 block of Aramingo Avenue just before 4 a.m. The suspects backed a white Ford truck up to the storefront, loaded up the ATM, then fled south on Aramingo, authorities said. I-95 Closed In Philadelphia After Truck Hits Conrail Bridge
A portion of I-95 in Philadelphia will be closed for repairs to the Conrail bridge, after it was struck by a truck Monday afternoon, April 1. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said the northbound side of the highway was be closed and detoured approaching the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue Interchange beginning at 10 p.m. April 1. The highway was reduced to a single lane for several hours while Conrail bridge engineers conducted their inspection to establish an emergency repair plan. An inmate at a western Pennsylvania prison who escaped custody last year was arrested in Philadelphia Friday morning, March 22, authorities say. Isaiah Tilghman, 33, was caught on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue, according to US Marshals. Tilghman was being held on drug charges and state parole violations when he fled from the Blair County Prison on Dec. 3, authorities have said. Twenty or more people are in police custody after a group of "criminal opportunists" looted stores in Center City and elsewhere Tuesday night, Sept. 26, Interim Philadelphia Police Commissioner John M. Two teenagers are in the hospital with bullet wounds after gunfire rang out at a Philadelphia Wawa early Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
