A Connecticut couple visiting friends in Pennsylvania was killed in a high-speed hit-and-run crash, and the driver has pleaded guilty to their deaths, authorities said.
John Thomas Wadlinger Jr., 32, of Bensalem, admitted guilt to 20 charges, including two counts each of homicide by vehicle while DUI and homicide by vehicle, before Common Pleas Judge C. A Pennsylvania man was high on meth when he fatally struck a 74-year-old woman in a crosswalk during broad daylight, police said.
Kenneth Schuebel, 57, was charged Tuesday with homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and five related offenses, LehighValleyLive reports citing court records.
Schuebel, of Lower Saucon Township, struck Frances Miller in a crosswalk on the 1200 block of Main Street in Hellertown shortly before 3:40 p.m. on June 20, police said.
