Recall Of 11.7M Pounds Of Meat, Poultry: List Released Of PA Schools That Received Products
A preliminary list has been released of schools that received items that were part of a nationwide recall of millions of pounds of meat and poultry products over fears they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The initial recall involving the manufacturer, Bruce Pac, was for 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) products sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon, Trader Joe's, 7-Eleven, Aldi, and other stores. It was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

A man and a woman robbed a Trevose gas station at gunpoint on Saturday, July 20, according to authorities.
Christopher Yelverton, 42, and Amanda Petherbridge, 34, are each charged with robbery, conspiracy, and related counts, Bensalem police said in a release on Monday, July 22.

A Pennsylvania Lottery player in North Philadelphia earned the jackpot prize playing the New Year's Millionaire Raffle on Saturday, Jan. 6, according to state gaming officials.
The lucky player won one of four million-dollar prizes in the final drawing for the game, said lotto representatives. The Shell Gas Station at 6200 North Broad Street will receive a $5,000 selling bonus, officials said.

One Lehigh County driver picked up more than they bargained for at a turnpike rest stop over the weekend, state officials say.
The 7-Eleven at the Exit 56 rest area on I-476, 5052 Cetronia Road, Wescosville, sold a Powerball ticket that won $150,000 in the Saturday, March 4 drawing, Pennsylvania lottery representatives announced.
The lucky winner matched all five white balls and the one red ball pulled in the Saturday, March 4 drawing, officials said. The 7-Eleven will now receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning slip, they added.

A winning lottery ticket for Match 6 Lotto drawing on Thursday, January 12, 2023, sold in York County according to lottery officials.
The ticket matched all six balls: 2-15-21-38-40-47, to win $1.66 million, less applicable withholding.
It sold at the 7-Eleven located at 101 Limekiln Road in New Cumberland, which will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Trenton Murder Suspect Nabbed In Philly Area, Police Say
A New Jersey man wanted for murder was arrested in Bucks County early on Friday, Dec. 9, authorities say.
David Holland, 30, was wanted on a homicide charge in Trenton when police in Falls Township researched his temporary vehicle registration tag and learned he had an active arrest warrant, officials said.
When Holland pulled into the 7-Eleven store at 8019 Mill Creek Road, officers took him into custody, the department said.

A pair of Philadelphia men were charged in connection with a series of gunpoint carjackings and armed robberies that occurred earlier this year throughout Delaware County, authorities said.
Nile Ward, 19, and Jamir Hill, 27, were arrested after a Monday, May 23 raid of Ward's home, which turned up five firearms, stolen clothing from one of the robberies, a black jacket worn by the men in surveillance footage and on social media, crack cocaine, marijuana, and more, Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said.

A Bensalem 7-Eleven store worker was robbed at gunpoint last week, leaving police looking for two suspects, authorities said.
A man in all black, wearing an orange construction vest, a black winter hat, and clear glasses, wielded a handgun and demanded cash at the store on Lincoln Highway around 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, Bensalem police said.
Meanwhile, another man in all black, carrying a red bag and also wearing a hat was breaking into the PA skills machine with a tool believed to be a hammer, according to police.
