A Facebook Marketplace sale of $1,000 worth of athletic shoes ended with two men accused of robbing juvenile sellers at gunpoint before a SWAT-style raid led to their arrests in Bethlehem, police announced Monday, June 1.
Sekani Damani Hartley, 23, of Bethlehem, and Israel Alexis Cortes, 23, of Allentown, were charged following the robbery on the 1700 block of Shimer Avenue on Saturday, May 30, according to the Bethlehem Police Department.
Officers responded around 2:06 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery involving two juvenile victims.

A police officer was killed while responding to an emergency call Friday, May 29, after her patrol vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Central Berks Police Officer Kristen Yeager, 42, a married mom of three from Boyertown, was responding with emergency lights and sirens activated when the crash occurred on West Philadelphia Avenue near Manatawny Road in Earl Township, state police said.
