Manhunt Underway After Shooting That Had All Of Allentown Under Shelter In Place: Prosecutor
Authorities have announced the reason for an investigation that had an entire New Jersey town under a shelter in place Tuesday, Dec. 31. Around 6 p.m., the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office announced that 52-year-old Daniel Williams is being sought in connection with a shooting investigation in Allentown. Police said only that the incident happened in the afternoon hours. The shelter-in-place was issued at approximately 2 p.m. and was lifted two hours later. A Queens, NY woman was arrested in Bergen County after police found she was driving a stolen van and had fake IDs, forgery tools, and amphetamines, authorities said. Vanessa C. Lake, 27, was stopped at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Nov. 23, for speeding on Broad Avenue in Englewood, according to Detective Lt. Fred Pulice. A 47-year-old man was airlifted to a local hospital Monday morning, Dec. 30 after being struck by a tree branch in Sussex County, police said. Troopers responded to the scene on Puder Road in Fredon at approximately 8:02 a.m. to assist with the medical emergency, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
