Popular barbecue restaurant chain Smokey Bones is scaling back as underperforming restaurants shut down or are being rebranded. Parent company Twin Hospitality Group said it will have closed 15 Smokey Bones locations by the end of September. A popular restaurant chain specializing in noodle-based dishes could close more than 20 locations. Noodles & Company plans to shut down as many as 21 restaurants in 2025, the fast-casual chain said in its first-quarter financial report on Wednesday, May 7. Restaurant chain Denny's plans to shut down as many as 150 of its locations. The company said half of the underperforming outlets will close by the end of the calendar year and the others will go out of business in 2025.
