PA Dad Charged In DUI Crash That Killed Wife, Injured Son: Police (Update)
An Exton man is facing serious charges after a DUI crash killed his wife and injured their 3-year-old son in Chester County, authorities announced on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Anukul Damodaran, 38, was allegedly behind the wheel when his car veered off North Ship Road, overturned, and landed about 10 feet into the woods on Saturday, Aug. 23, West Whiteland Township police said.
His wife, Uthra Manivannan, also known as Priyadharshni, was killed in the crash. Their 3-year-old son, Mayon, survived but suffered a fractured shoulder that will require surgery, according to family.

Ryan Quigley, a 2020 Princeton University graduate and former classmate and coworker of Tiger Bech, was injured in the deadly New Orleans pickup truck attack early Wednesday, Jan. 1.
Quigley, a Lansdale Catholic High School graduate from the Class of 2016, was hospitalized following the attack, which claimed at least 15 lives, including Bech’s, in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Friday, July 26 was shaping up to be a usual day for Michael McCullough.
He had spent the day at the pool and was riding home in Marple Township.
